Kiesewetter Angus is a family operation built on generations of passion for the Angus breed. Our story began in the early 1950s when our family's first Angus heifer was purchased from legendary breeder J.C. McLean of Quincy, Illinois. That foundation grew into Kiesewetter Angus in 1970, when Ed and Alice Kiesewetter established the operation in west-central Illinois. Since then, multiple generations of the Kiesewetter family have remained dedicated to raising balanced, maternal Angus cattle that thrive in real-world production environments.
In 2020, we partnered with Bear Mountain Angus in Palisade, Nebraska, to market our bulls and females. Together, we share a commitment to producing practical, high-quality cattle with balanced genetics. By combining our programs and continually incorporating proven genetics, we're able to provide our customers with consistent cattle backed by generations of breeding experience.
